Hi to all, my name is Crystal U. I am 34 years old with a husband, Chris. Yes we are Chris and Crystal. I married him so I wouldn't forget my name. We have five children between the two of us; Christopher 19, Jonathan 17, Alexandra 16, Angelina 11, and Zachary 8, and have 3 dogs, 4 Fiddler Crabs, and a hamster. One of our three dogs is a retired Greyhound. I graduated from Albion High School here in Michigan in 1995. My husband and I have been married for almost 14 years and have been together for 16 years.
I have taken a break from my education to raise my children, but now it is my turn to get a higher education, before the three older ones go off to school. I decided it was finally my time to go back to school, because I would like a degree before my 16 year old daughter gets hers. I have to set the example. Right? My husband, who is also a college student at U of P, has been attending school for about the last 26 months now, and I got jealous. So here I am.
I do a lot of volunteer work, since I have extra time. I was a dedicated Girl Scout leader for 7 years, but now I am just a dedicated Girl Scout mommy. I helped out in Zachary's kindergarten class every day and am a full time popcorn mom every other Friday to raise money for the P.T.A. I am very active in our church. I am on the task force which makes meals for the shut-ins due to medical conditions. I am also a member of the Women of the Church of God, (WCG). In the WCG, we help raise money for missionaries, shut-ins, and youth groups. I also am part of the church book club, and the task force that helps those with medical conditions feed their families. I was just informed that I was nominated for the United Women's League, (UWL). Being nominated for the UWL is a huge honor. I can't wait, it will take a year. I have instilled in my children the importance of volunteer work.
I am originally from Hinsdale, Ill. My parents moved us to Michigan, then Illinois; again, then Pennsylvania, and then back to Michigan again. My parents used to be dog show vendors, so we would travel all over the United States. I have been in 28 states, but never outside of the U. S. Our family has started going on a vacation a year, starting six years ago. We have gone to Kentucky, Minnesota, Holland MI, Marshall MI, and South Haven MI.
