I’m 40 & have been married for almost 24 years to my high school sweetheart. We have two children, Brooke, 23, and Cain, 20. I am a Christian.
I grew up on Lookout Mountain in north Georgia in the tiny community of New Salem and where all of my family still lives.
I am a photohobbyist and besides that hobby I also enjoy birding, butterflying (is that a word?), camping, hiking, and Geocaching.
I love the colors green & orange, the ocean, the mountains, & being in the woods. I read a lot, love my subscriptions to Birds & Blooms, Birds & Blooms Extra, Country, Country Extra, Southern Living, Outdoor Photography, & Popular Photography. I would be a full-time student if I could afford it.
I’ve been taking photographs since I was 8 when my parents bought me my first camera for Christmas: a Kodak 110. I loved that camera and took it with me everywhere I went. I am CRAZY about photography. I loved my Polaroid that allowed instant gratification, and began to get serious when I got my first 35mm: a Pentax that I wish I still had. :( I now use a Canon 7D, a Canon 30D, and I carry a Canon S2 IS with me at ALL times. It never leaves my side.
I love shooting nature, you know, butterflies, birds, critters, flowers, landscapes...just anything that catches my eye. I also love macro photography.
I love the Lord and thank him daily for the blessings that I receive. :)
