Thanks for posting those pics here, Sooty.  It sure is a different looking squirrel than the foxes, gray and reds I've seen around here.

Sooty,  Thanks for posting them here as they are really cool pictures!  However, It looks like you moved them in your Photobucket album.  Can you re-post them for others to enjoy?Geeked

My dog Tank found some in a crevasse of a tree.  I didn't even know they were up here (panhandle of FL)  My cat used to bring them into the house and treat them like kittens!  Poor things were very willing for me to pick them up and release them.  The only time I ever saw them was when Bootsie would bring them inside!

Now Tank is in love with finding there hidey spots!  I think he loves them as much as the cat did!  Never have seen them 'flying' or at my feeder.  I'm jealous!

Welcome to the group, Teri!!

That is a cute story about your dog finding the flying squirrels.   Please share more squirrel and wildlife stories here too.  We would love to see pics!!  Just ask if you have any questions about posting them.

My CRS caught up with me and now I'm rlesgal2.  Could not sign in to save my life and I got the best shot of Tank sitting vigil on his squirrel tree.  So it's still me and here's my flying squirrel sitter!  I have to shoo him away cuz he has them nervous as all get out!   Trying to get the pictures posting is not as easy as I thought, so they'll be here later.

Hi Sooty,

I was not able to see the pictures. It said they were moved or deleted. Do you know why?

Wish I could see them too!  Last nite I had one whizz past me and land on a tree 10 feet in front of me.  Well land is a kind term, it was more like crash!  Then the mad scramble to get out of sight!

Tank is still obsessing about the nest so I've had to cordon off the area with parts of a disassembled dog crate and drop cloth so they could get some rest!  Poor dog, he's lovelorn now! Star

That is so cool!  I haven't seen a flying squirrel since I was a wee one back in Ky.  And only in one area.  Yes, thanks for posting the photos!
