Has anyone had experiences with woodpeckers who come to the hummingbird feeders and drink the nectar??? My sister is experiencing it at her feeder and is wondering if this is a rarity or somthing common. She lives in eastern Ohio.
We have seen downeys at our hummingbird feeder and also a goldfinch! (Indiana)
As a matter of fact, i have downies, nuthatches and gold finches that try to get some nectar out of my hummer feeders. And most of the smaller birds come to the hummer feeders to get a drink of water. I have Hummzinger feeders that come with a built-in water moat as an ant barrier and i keep it filled most days.

Very common. Many birds will drink out of the hummingbird feeder.
