Help with bird id

Each fall and winter I have blue birds that roost under the eve of my front porch.

Last year they got to be to many. Today I made bigger boards for them to sit on.

When I got home tonight I found this asleep in there spot.

Any ideas?

Good morning cuzzx...

I am so sorry but I haven't a clue what that is. Looks more like fur than feathers, but am not sure...where do you live?...I can't think of anything marked like this.
