Have any of you started or finished yet?

I pick things up throughout the year that I think my loved ones would enjoy. Sometimes I'm so excited about a sweet find, that I can't wait for Christmas, so just give it right away.

I have a few things already, but haven't even started serious Christmas shopping yet. I need to get busy, though. DS and his friend will be here for Thanksgiving, and we are doing an early Christmas then. I have NO clue what his friend might like, but I have a pretty good idea about what DS likes.

I have actually picked up a couple things that have jumped out at me and I am very pleased with!!

And I ordered 2 items from QVC today.  I love grabbing things there and I don't even have to leave the house.  I usually only check out QVC at this time of year.

One thing I ordered was the Cookie Exchange  set of 3 lotion soaps. You can use it for your hair, body and bubble bath.  I will be splitting it up and using it for 3 different people, so I am really happy about seeing that item.

I don't watch QVC or the HomeShopping very often. For some reason, I don't like to buy anything sight unseen. I like to touch, finger, smell ~ whatever.

A few years ago, Dad bought some Honora (sp?) pearls from one of those shows for Mom. She was so touched, and was so confused. Big Smile First....Dad is not an impluse buyer, and never buys jewelery. He also is not known for watching home shopping TV shows.   Dad still jokes that those pearls were the most expensive present he ever gave Mom. She bought a new outfit to 'go with' the pearls, made him take her out to dinner to show them off,

I got the urge this past week-end and went out both days and got most of my shopping done.  I still have the grands who don't live here to buy for but need to wait until I get lists from them-----their Mother has mentioned a  couple of things on their lists but none was less than $299.99 and that just isn't happening with this Grandma.  If I don't get a sensible list they will get money-----

Oh, willie.....I feel your pain. My DGS is only in the first grade, and everything on his list is EXPENSIVE. Not only that....his wish list changes/increases with every new commercial it seems.

My shopping is all finished except I still have to get stocking stuffers for the men and boys and a gift for Jennifer's baby next door.  I always make a box of cookies and candies for Jennifer and Brinton for a gift and Sunday I was in Winner's (do you have them) and they had the most beautiful boxes all decorated up so beautifully so I bought one for their cookies, and then they can use it as a decoration after.  I still have to get a box of cards too.

I think I may just have to shoot you!!!    Wink

We picked names for the adults so that makes it easier.  We still give all of the GKs gifts.  I haven't started yet.  I have to get my fall work done and Thanksgiving over first.

Well don't get mad at me either, but I'm done!  My husband's job is nonexistant during the winter, so have to get the shopping done really early.  Hate to shop anyway, but hate it worse in the cold and snow, so it works out ok for me.

I could just shoot everyone that has started. We only buy for the grandkids now, but have to wait for a list. My grandson wants a motorized car, he already has a Jeep but says it doesn't run right, anyway picked out some in the Sears Catalogue, $499.99, I said Ryley that costs alot and told him how much and he says how much its that grandma. Kids.

I like to have everything bought, wrapped, and mailed by Nov 30th.  (everyone but 3 of my kids live in other states) so if I'm not GOING there for Christmas, I'm MAILING it!  And I hate the long post office lines!!!!

This year I have decided that I am NOT going to get what is on everybody's list!!! I always hated this tradition (hubby's sides doing) , this makes it much more interesting!
