All of my many other hummers left about 10 days ago. I have one left and she just keeps eating. Will she be okay? It's getting late for her to be hanging around.

Yes, she will be much more safe if you continue to feed as long as she is present. Your feeder can not keep birds from migrating. Removing your feeder before she is ready to leave on her own will only condemn her to starvation if a frost kills all available food sources.

I still have 8 feeders up with fresh food so I won't let her starve! Thank you for the advice.
She left on November 2nd. I'm going to try keeping feeders up for a while, especially since a few hummingbirds are still being spotted up North. They may fly through GA on the way to where ever they're going.
Claudia, I keep one feeder up throughout the winter. I had a friend, who lives nearby, get visits from 2 western species of Hummingbirds a few years back. A Black Chin arrived in November and hung around until January. An Allen showed-up in January and stayed 2 weeks. We could get lucky!

I still have at least 4 hummers around. Two fighting for the backyard and two fighting for the front yard feeder.

I thought all of my hummers were gone several weeks ago so I took my feeders in . I am in Missouri, On Sunday and now for the pst 3 days I have seen a hummer every morning eating nectar from annuals I have not yet pulled out. When i saw the hummer I immediately put a feeder out gain but I have not seen the hummer visit it yet. Why do some hummers not migrate? How do I keep the food from freezing?

Depends on where your at and what kind of hummers you have. I have Anna hummers and saw four of them today. Anna will spend the winter. They're a hardy little birds.
If it is freezing, you can pull the feeder at night and put it out in the morning. Or get the heat tape and put in on the bottom. Myself, I have mine setup with a umbrella & heat lamp. Works good.
