I just noticed this site, don't know how I missed it. There is a similar topic over in the group forum but not much goes on over there. Anyway I had a lot of back yard projects this fall & some front yard ones too. Most of which I've mentioned in other topics. But the biggest one I guess was pulling all the dead grass & chickweed from my fenced in area & reseeding. I did this last week & it is already sprouting. Happy about that. We had so much rain this year that the area never really got a chance to dry out and a lot of the grass really suffered. Also the area under my swing stayed damp & soggy all summer as did the area in front of my back door. Here is how I fixed both those spots.
You did a good ob on the swing area. I would make sure the blocks be the door don't move when you step in them. At my age that might hurt.LOL

Yea I checked that out as I went Gary. Leveled & built up as necessary. They're not pretty but functional, I think. There are no gutters on my house & that part of the roof is not peaked so when it rains hard it just pours off there & we have had a lot of rain this year. I had just one row of smaller pavers there for a few years but even with those it would wash out into the yard making a mess. Actually the reason for the original row of pavers was that when my DH was living he was in a wheelchair when he moved here & had trouble getting it over that little concrete still. The extra row of pavers helped.
I am sorry to hear about your DH. As long as they stay in place, you are go to go.RIGHT.
It looks like you did good job with the pavers.
What's the name of your little dog?
Pat ~ WC WI
That is Chelsea & she is 10 mo old & a camera hog.
The grass in the area I reseeded has really grown. I cut it for the 1st time a fw days ago. It was about 6" high. So nice to come out the back door & see green again insted of bare soggy, muddy areas. I'm estatic.
Now that Gary cued me in on this forum, I'll be back from time to time. I think that I used to come here and forgot why I haven't been here lately. Gayle, I like your project and love the dog! Come on over to vegetable gardening where Pat, Gary and I live! lol!
