Hello Fae,

Mike here,, Jane's Hubby. I did ours for us. This looks lenghty and scarry, but it is very very easy to do.. Honest !

First you need to go to the web site listed below. http://www.gif-mania.net/animated-signatures/

You DO NOT have to join anything........ it IS FREE for the basic stuff I guess.

To the left you will see a list of categories that you can choose from. ( click on one them to see what they have to offer ) example::: you want a flower. Click on Flowers.
In the middle of the page they show a variety of what they have to offer I guess.
Look at the right side and you will see a line showing you the FONT that is selected. (YOU can change this if you'd like by clicking on the drop down.
Then below that there is a COLOUR field with all the different colors you can choose from.
And below that on the same side of the page about 1/2 down. You will see """The text of your signature""" and below it, a box to type in. ( This is where you type your name you want to show up.

SO,,,

Select your IMAGE
Select your FONT & SIZE
Select your COLOUR
Type in your NAME
Click OK
Below the Preview of what you just made. Click on the "CLICK HERE" to down load it to your computer.
When the File Down Load window opens up. Click "SAVE"
Then a "SAVE AS" window will open up. ((( Select the place on your computer you want to save this file to ))) and click "SAVE"
A " Download Complete" window will pop up.
You can close that window now.
NEXT you will have to UPLOAD you image to ( an image hosting site ) ( most people on here use ( Photo Bucket )
Log in to your account (Photo Bucket, or another site you may have already set up)
Select " CHOOSE FILES "
Locate the Image you made and saved to your Hard Drive from the animated GIF web site.
Find the IMAGE you just made in your Photo Bucket pics.
Put your pointer of the IMAGE and you will see a window appear below it.
You want to LEFT click in the 2nd box down ( DIRECT LINK ) when you do. It iwll HIGHLIGHT the text.
RIGHT click on the HIGHLIGHTED text and select COPY.

GETTING IT TO YOUR SIGNATURE IN YOUR PROFILE ::::

Got to your Birds and Blooms account and log in.
Click on " MY PROFILE " ( located at top right of your Log in Name ) top right of page.
Click on " SITE OPTIONS " tab.
This is "EDIT YOUR PROFILE" screen.. About middle ways down you will see "SIGNATURE" Click in that area like you would to type.
Next you will need to click on the ICON from the tool bar that looks like a SMALL FILM STRIP. ( looks like this------> )
It will open a window that reads "INSERT MEDIA" Here you will PASTE what you copied from your Photo bucket site in the box provided for a link to the IMAGE you made.
Click "INSERT" at the bottom left of this window.
You should now see your SIGGY you made in your SIGNATURE display box.
Go to the bottom of that page and Click on "SAVE"
Go to a B&B Post to reply to someone, and HAVE FUN with your new CUSTOM SIGGY at the bottom like all the others have.............

Don't shoot me if it doesn't work,,,,,,,,,,

There has been a reservation raised regarding gifmania.com from the person who said she originally shared this site and info with mike.

Before I shared this, I checked the site with my Norton Phishing protection, and with Google Safe Browsing link

According to google this site has not hosted, shared or been the victim of any malicious software in the last 90 days.

Sometimes we simply do not have the software, the knowledge or the techonology to run/create what we want

e.g. animations or games

Do we all want to learn Macromedia Flash or do we just want to use their site and directions to make an animation sort of thing ....

sometimes sites allow us to use their software and the results need to be emailed or downloaded to our own computers

When I allow Active X, on msn games, I am allowing a VB Script from an outside source to run on my computer

WOW! This was easy as stated.........THANK-YOU!

I actually followed the directions for a change.......lol!

FYI: I was logging into the OLD website that I had bookmarked and it wouldn't let me see or use the Site Options tab. SO I logged into http://www.birdsandblooms.com/ (now that is bookmarked) and low and behold I was able to do everything and it doesn't give me the temporarily out of service or whatever it said.
