Good morning. 66° here overnight. This morning so far its been cloudy. Think we have a chance of showers today as well. Might as well rain since I have to work today anyway. Won't be off again till Wednesday but I'm counting down. Hope the rest of you have the day off and get to enjoy the day.
Good morning everybody. Mid 80s & sunny with clouds every now & then. Rain supposed to move in late tonight into tomorrow. We'll see. I was thinking about watering/fertilizing but going to hold off on that till I see if it rains or not.
Mary, I made that fruit salad yesterday. I love it. We have a large group of out of state cousins coming in later this month & we get together at DBs house every night for food & talk. Everybody usually contributes something to the table. I know what my contribution is going to be. I made it with Strawberry/Banana Jello. I'll make two for the gang. Another Strawberry/Banana & I think Lime for the 2nd one. There will be at least 13 people & we're all big eaters. Some bigger than others. LOL
No special plans for today. There is a breeze so I might go sit outside for a while. If I do that, I'll give Chelsea her bath & she can stay out there with me till she dries. Then I can put her flea meds on her.
Hope everybody has a great day. Work tomorrow for me.
Good morning Steve, dull here too, did get a heavy rain yesterday evening on way home from reunion,so hard too see across the road! no exciting carrying on at work lately? Jo Ann- my newspaper comes 6.30am, woke up one morning looked out the window and he was walking by that time. ,how did the pants dye? used to put things in a big pan and boil, must be a simpler way now. Gary- did GS have a pepper on his birthday?you and Steve are becoming professionals at canning etc. time for Church service to come on soon, Hello Gardenway and others, have a nice Sunday relaxing, Mary in Ky 10.46am
Mary, these days you dye things in the washing machine or at least you did the last time I dyed anything which was many years ago. One year my DM made me a Halloween costume as the Purple People Eater (anybody remember that?) She soaked purple crepe paper to get the color for the costume than soaked cloth in the purple water.
I think we were posting at about the same time. Did you see my comment on the fruit salad? Will definitely be making that again.
Good morning,
Not a thing going on around here this morning. Possibility of severe weather this afternoon.
Yesterday I did some much needed kitchen organization. Did the fridge & freezer section, shelves of canned goods, etc. Have a stove bottom drawer that I keep the boxes of quart, gallon, sandwich bags, foil - now that it isn't all a jumble, maybe I'll stop buying duplicates that I don't need!
Hope everyone has a good day.
~GW
Good afternoon. We went to church this morning, then out to eat lunch.
I can see right now that I'm going to have to go back and find that recipe for the salad and give it a try. I tried to ignore it, but y'all just won't let me.LOL
Mary, I did not find any black dye yesterday, so I still haven't been able to dye the pants. And Gayle's right. You do it in the washing machine now. You just run the washer through a cycle with some bleach added. Our newspaper is delivered about 6:30 here on weekdays, but not until 7:30 or so on the weekends. Guess our paper people like to sleep a little later on weekends.
Steve, I hope you are having a good day at work. I know you are looking forward to Wednesday.
GW you did something I need to do, but keep putting off. The refrigerator needs to be cleaned out, and so does the pantry. It's just a small pantry, but I have some things in there that I'm sure are past the expiration date. Also opened bags of chips, pasta, etc.
We are going to the local county historical society meeting this afternoon. A lady is giving the history of our church. Will have to leave before the meeting is over, I'm sure. We have a cemetery committee meeting and leadership team meeting. After that we are going to see the movie "Field of Dreams". This is the last of the movies we are watching for the series of sermons dealing with movies. We are enjoying this series. Of course, we enjoy all his sermons.
Y'all have a great day!
Speaking of the salad, Mary. Do you drain the pineapple? I didn't, but should I have?
