Razz came I guess around 1 pm today and we of course browsed the yard and went back and was sitting at the pool and it was gloomy, so off we went to the antique stores on Main Street, one place we found gives stained glass classes (I do believe we will have to take a 4 day class on Saturdays this winter and make us something stained glass. LOL) I told her I knew a better place so off to peddler's mall we went, stopped and got a bite and took off to the sunshine grow shop and yep, you can guess it, got us some plants. LOL Here's a pic of her plant haul (you don't want to see her haul in the back seat from the other places) and I'm not a good photographer, just doesn't depict how cute she is.
and then we hung at the pool and gabbed and gabbed and realized it was after 8 pm (she has over an hour drive home). LOL Time flies when your having fun with a friend. I have to say I've had a really nice day with my gardening friend (and do believe puppy has bonded with Wanda, she wimpered as she drove away). LOL

I'm glad you had a nice day. Thought about you two earlier today & was wondering what kind of weather you were having. Did you get to use the pool at all?

Gary don't forget the gabbing part lol
Sounds like you two had a perfect day !
Looks like Razz got some nice plants too.
I am so glad you two had such a great day together.....I knew you would! I also thought of you while I was playing with DGS....not sure if it was while we were using the easy bake oven or when we were counting lightning bugs.....lol.
I think that Razz did real well shopping....and where are your plants, Del? I am glad to see a pic of Wanda....just as cute as I pictured her.
Del.....I've always wanted to take a stained glass claas, but never seen them offered close enough to do so. Charlene
Sounds like a perfect day. It's so nice that you two get together.
Forgot to share.....Kathy and I talked Friday night and we are hoping to have another get together weekend sometime in August.....YAAAYYYY....I can hardly wait! We always have such a good time. Charlene
It was a wonderful day, Del's place is so pretty! I just loved walking around her yard and seeing all the stuff she has growing. She certainly has a green thumb! I wish I had gotten a pic of some of her planters.....I especially love the one with Baby Tut cypress grass...beautiful!
Del, I should have pulled that big basket out of there to show how pretty it is! Once I pulled it down to the ground to look @ it, I knew it was going home with me. I had just bought one of the little old primitive barrels, well, I know mine isn't truly 'old' but just one of the ones made to look old.......but it will be so pretty with the basket in it!
JB and puppy are truly her 'babies' and they are so well behaved.....they are so meek and humble, too.....Puppy kept hopping up into my lap and looking right into my face......it was so cute! Love 'em!
Yes, Charlene, Del did get some plants, too......and we got a lamb's ear that I had never seen and I think Del said she hadn't either, it doesn't have the fuzzy leaves, and it is just a regular green color leaf, I forgot the name of it now, but someone on here probably knows it. We were kind of excited about it! Also, found one soapwort, only one left and these were all clearance plants, so we split that one, too.... All in all, a grand day! Oh, and I would have stayed later, but as I am on call @ hospital starting right now til 8 tomorrow morning I had to get home!
We were talking about the 'gathering' and how we wish we each could have hosted one for how ever many could have made it.......maybe we will figure something out for one next year somewhere! I can only imagine how much fun they are!
Razz you have to post a pic of that barrel with the new planter in it, its going to be beautiful and I want to see it! Yep, we should have piled all the stuff in the back seat out so everyone could see all of it. Gayle yes when we came back we did get in the pool and yes Steve and Gary, shopping and then gabbing gabbing gabbing! LOL
I am so happy for you both. Makes me wish we could have had a gathering this year but it just was not meant to be. It sounds like you both had a perfect day.
Del...DS was just here to pick up DGS. Yesterday he drove to southern Missouri to pick up a truck that he bought on Craig's list. He told me that he was only 10 minutes from Tennesse.....in 8 hrs. That got the wheels grinding here....how much farther to Kentucky? LOL. Charlene
Sounds like an enchanting day out with a gardening friend.

Think you did a good job with the camera Deloris; Razz looks lovely & the car looks loaded with garden goodies.
Good to hear you two had fun!
Charlene mapquest says Sioux Falls to Lexington is 950 miles, about 15 hours
Lime Springs to Lexington is 703 miles, about 11.5 hours
Sigh, I am always the furtherest away from everyone.......Kathy
plantdoctorzn4:....how much farther to Kentucky?
LOL Charlene. Ky is on top of Tenn. And she is about 1/2 way in the middle of the state.
