I do believe it is thunder.  I just went out to do a little deadheading.  Then, the wind started picking up and it's becoming dark as night.

Oops, here it comes.  It's raining!   Wooooohooooooooooo

I thought maybe rain...........I am 90 miles from you so maybe we will get some as predicted....not damaging storms I hope, though.  90 degrees here for us today.

Let every day be a good day!

Glad you are getting rain.  I hope there's no damaging winds to go along with it.

And it's done!  I'll take it. Temps are in the 60's now according to Weatherbug, guess it didn't reach my temp thingy yet.

I won't have to water later, so I'm happy.

I am happy for you but it isn't supposed to get here until late Sunday night, Early MondaySad In the meantime I did what I could outside this morning now I am working inside and praying the a/c holds up and we don't get blackouts with the power.

I was just blessed with another small shower.  Really not enough to matter except makes pulling weeds and thinning seedlings easier.

With temps 10 degrees cooler, I actually took a run to my favorite garden center to see if perennials are on sale.  Felt almost like that time of year.  I did find two at 50%off.  Pretty orange flowers.  One is an Iceland Poppy and the other is called Cooky Geum.

I wasn't going to buy perennials this year but these were on sale and they'll help replace the ones I lost over this past Winter to the varmits.

I have the fireball geum, a golden orange. I had the bloody Mary but it didn't make it thru its first winter....Kathy

What does a geum look like?  I'm more of a perennial person, and this sounds interesting.

Yes it is. And it did't rain but for 2 min. Made a lot of noise. That was it.

YEAH for you all, but I forgot what thunder sounded like, closest things was fireworks last week. LOL  I walked across to the neighbor's house and was in a full sweat by the time I got back.
