I have a new project I'm thinking about doing.  Still in the maybe stage.  It might involve painting the inside of one of those plastic kiddie pools for use as a pond.

Do you think that can be done & what kind of paint would you use.?

I don't think I'd paint it. The paint would most likely pop off sooner or later. That might be harmful to the fish. Maybe just give it a real good cleaning and bleaching. Be sure to rinse it well if you bleach it.

Could you just buy a new kiddie pool or a plastic liner for them?  They aren't that expensive, you know! Be sure to let us see some pics of your project!  I saw your new fence project in the Backyard Projects forum and it looked very nice and more privacy, too!

There's a backyard projects forum?? I 'm going to check it out.. Thanks Marg,, I don't get around much i guess,,lol..

I agree about not painting the inside, too.. How about decorating the bottom with those stickies that can be used in the tub so you don't slip? they have lots of varieties and colors  to chose from...

Gayle, I googled "paint for pond liner"  & there is quite a bit of information. I don't know the particulars but it can be done, in 100's of different colors.

Thanks people for your replies.  I've decided against using the kiddie pool anyway.  Turned out to be too small for what I want.
