A nice steady soaking rain too. Now if that will keep up all night it would be wonderful but by the looks of the weather map it is going to move soon. At least it is enough to get the ground ready for me to use the soaker hoses tomorrow if I need to.
We had a light rain very early this morning, then dreary & cloudy all day Now it is sprinkling.
It's been raining since one in the afternoon. You can have some of my rain Molly. I wish it would only rain to water the flower beds. This is a bit much! Oh well, I could be living in the desert and I would be complaining of the dry weather......It's either too much or not enough.....LOL
I am so jealous, we need a good rain here.

Molly good for you , and send some my way in Nw In, only had a few sprinkles 2 x';s yesterday , and the grass is starting to look like hay, the corn in the fields is up knee high, so bet the farmer are happy , lots are worried though....
Cricket our field corn is already higher than my head! We got just the amount of rain it needed when it needed it. But since I have been so late planting this year the beds are not finished and no mulch on any of them yet. I am hoping to get a lot of that done this week if I have to do it in the rain!
We are supposed to (60%) get a half inch tonight and it is moving straight east so Charlene you may get it......Kathy
I'm so glad! I was starting to feel bad when I had rain and you didn't. We've had rain on and off since overnight Sunday. Not steady enough to get a real good soaking, but good enough.
OH no it is raining again here and has been since 1 this afternoon. We have gotten .7" so far and it is to continue most of the night. This makes 7 days out of 12 in the month of June that we have had a measurable amount of rain. Nothing is growing here due to lack of sun and warm temperatures.

The sprinkle turned into a steady light rain since 6 P.M. Not complaining. (yet)
Gosh Bet I'm so sorry, too much rain is worse than no rain at all, at least we can water with hoses. I'm just disgusted with not having anything cooperate this year. Dug up bushes, plants and move around to put in fountain, the hose was split (came ON the fountain) and why? Its piece-milled to fit, now to go find rubber hose to fit, I start it and it blows. I'm so disgusted tonight, I need to go to bed. Even my right hand is having numb moments. This SUCKS!

We had a calm 5 hour rain yesterday morning (6-11 AM) and it was just what we needed but not nearly enough. Probably just a teaser for the crops that so badly need it.
Our grass hasn t been mowed in 2 weeks so it won t turn straw textured and brown ~~~
I water my flowers every evening and some twice a day ~~~ No more rain in sight for at least a week so had to enjoy and appreciate what we got yesterday .

No chance of rain tonight....at all!! Kathy straight east means it will follow the Minnesota side of the border like all of the rains have.
We have had 1.6 inches of rain since the 1st of April....how sad is that???? Besides that we had nothing last fall.....and barely any snow this year. We are so dry that corn fields are drying up and dying at 1 ft tall. We will all pay for that later at the supermarket.
Thursday now has a 20% chance of rain. That is a real slim chance, but I gotta keep hoping. Charlene
Glad you got some rain Molly, now we just need to find a way to get some to Charlene.
We had some rainy days but they turned into really hot and humid days so we are on another dry spell now.
Donna
We ended up with a little over 3/10" & that was OK.
