A dogwood blossom from 2010
Steve, Just Beautiful!!! Hope you still have this gorgeous tree... Well, have been gone for over a month visiting Mom and family....these are roses that DB comercially farms...
I love the dogwoods too bad they don't bloom longer but if they did we wouldn't be so excited when they do. Ili we have been worried about you so glad you are ok, those roses are beautiful. I didn't get any pics yesterday so will try to get more today to share with you all.
Pretty dogwood bloom, Steve. I was noticing one outside my classroom yesterday that looks similar. I like them a lot.
ili, I love those roses! The white and pink ones are tugging at my heartstrings!
I know what you mean, Molly. I have some things I took pics of on the camera but I haven't uploaded them yet and I didn't feel like trudging all the way to the back of the house to get the camera. Perhaps later I will put them on the computer for another day's posting.
I don't have anything terribly exciting today to share. Although, I do enjoy this iris. It happens to be my one and only after I dug things up and shared with my DM. Kind of makes me sad each year that it blooms that it is the only one I have of this color. Oh well, I should be thankful for it, I suppose.

Ili I'm so glad to see you here, I too have been worried since you hadn't been posting. WOW, those roses are beautiful. Here is my old neighbor's climbing rose, not sure the pic will do it justice.

Steve...very good pic of the dogwood bloom!
Ili....how nice to see you here!!! We have missed you. As always, your roses are gorgeous....glad you are back and hope you had a good time while visiting.
Sandy.....I have several stock from the seed train, but they aren't blooming yet. I guess I thought they got taller than that....OOPS....I may have planted them in the wrong spot....lol
Del....that is a VERY pretty climbing rose. My 7 sisters is budded, so I hope to share pics soon.
Karen.....love that iris....and I also have some as well. I don't know why the iris are so tall this year....must be the heat.
Just a closeup of the white iris that is growing with the lupine
Good to see you back ili. We were beginning to worry.
Louisiana Iris called Gamecock
Ooooooh, I really like that one, Gayle! Charlene
Loved everyones pics. I need to get out and take some more. Good to see you back ili. My iris were beautiful and extra tall this year too. They are now starting to die out for the season so that corner of the yard will be less colorful now.......Kathy
I still don't have any new pics but wanted to tell you about the foxglove arrangement I made last week...it was still on the mantel this morning so I decided to cut them back and keep it going since it still looked good. One of the purple foxgloves at the very top 6" is white with purple spots inside. The rest of it is still purple. None of the other ones turned white just this one. So I am going to try to get the seeds from that one to mature so I can try getting some white ones. They have always self-sowed all over the place but never a purple one that turns white on the top.

To Plant a Garden is to Believe in Tomorrow
Steve, I am happy for you (it's so prettty) & a little bit jealous all at the same time:-)
Fantastic looking Bleeding Hearts, Iris' & Roses.
So happy to see you posting again Ili. Welcome back.
Sandy, I like your changing garden bed design. And I'm really fond of your garden angel.
Paula, I'm not sure what your last flower picture is but that is a pretty shrub.
St. Swithun starts out a bubblegum pink (also looks as if it will open into a species rose design) but then slowly turns into different/lighter hues of pink with lots of petals. St. Swithun runs a close second for my favorite until I get a good whiff & then it becomes my favorite too.
Cabbage White Butterfly on Madeline Salvia.
The blooms are actually bigger than I expected & this CW really took advantage.
Salpiglossi are starting to bloom but so far only this color but I have many more to bloom yet.
