Have your Cherry Blossoms peaked? Which trees do you have blooming now? What about bulbs?

I have Lily bulbs growing about 4 inches tall presently & the Asters look as if they will bloom long before late Summer or Fall?

Many of the trees in town are in full flush & look lovely. While other trees here look as if they are still sleeping & may continue napping through springtime?

Hi MDG!  Long time, no see!  Glad you're back!  Some stuff is already done due to that warmer than normal March weather we had.  But right now, it's mostly the flowering trees, like the crabapples, peach, and that sort of thing.  Other things ought to be popping soon enough.  Saw a few tulips and pansies here & there.  Still getting frosts and freezes around here, though.

Hi Mary, nice to see you here. I should really plant some Hyacinths as I love the smell. Some of my mini roses are in bud now so hopefully it won't be long for a nice flower display from them.

Hello Marg, thank you for that nice greeting. I'm happy to be back too & catch-up with you. Seems like Winter was a no-show this year for us?  But we are having these sporadic frosts & it is confusing me but hopefully the plants will be okay.

I bought some Pansies & Alyssum last month & they have withstood the cool nights really well. Don't know why Pansies are named such as they seem really tough?  Looking forward to the next batch of flowers to bloom.

My pink flowering almond is budded, but hard frost tonight we could have.  I have plants up but no buds.  Flowering crab trees are budded and red and pink ones mostly.  My forsythia flowered already and is about gone with blossoms.

Let every day be a good day!

Here at the house, Daffodils are done, Tulips almost done, Forsythia done.  Clematis, some of the Iris & African Daisies have buds.   Creeping phlox & Wallflower is blooming & in the woods Wisteria & Dogwood trees.

I love the pink flowering Almond trees. Hope yours survived the frost Posy?

And I only wish I had Wisteria in my yard, you are very lucky Gayle as they are so beautiful in bloom. My Dogwood has yet to bud or bloom; this is it's 3rd year here so hopefully this will be the year. It looks nice enough now & mine is listed as blooming in Summer, we shall see?

So far the buds look okay on the flowering almond bushes.  But the monkshood and a hosta was nipped a bit I noticed, but they will come back.  We had frost the past 2 nights.  After a while it takes its toll on the plants when it happens so ofter in the Spring.

Let every day be a good day!

Sorry about your Monkshood & Hosta's Posy. I moved some things out a bit too early & they got zapped. But a few of the other plants I moved out seemed to like the cooler temperatures & really greened-up? Guess we can only please some of the plants & only some of the time? Hope you are all enjoying a gorgeous w/e.

Since I'm up here in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. We have some tulips. Hyacinth, grape muscari, forsythia. It's beautiful today though. Into the low 20 degree's celcius/70's.

Hi Catnap! It has been fairly warm here in Maryland but today is expected to be much closer to normal temperatures. And they are calling for some much needed rain.

What has your rainfall been like so far this Spring? We are way behind on rain & things bloomed/are blooming a bit earlier. Are your: Forsythia, Hyacinth & Tulips blooming on schedule this year?

I'll check on the Weigela shortly to see if it's started blooming yet.

Hi MDgreenery . We haven't had much rain this spring, and very little snow cover this winter which is highly unusual for this area. The magnolia bud's were killed off so no magnolia blossoms this year. So sad. I don't have one, but my sister in law lost her's. Yes all my forsythia, hyacinth and tulips are on schedule as usual. Are temperatures are up and down like a toilet seat! Lol. I want to spray our apple tree but have to wait until it warms up. Just the dormant spray of course. Peonies are just breaking through the soil here. I just love them and their smell.

These of course are from a previous year, but enjoy none the less..

MDgreenery. Thanks I love those peonies. I took me 3 years to get them to establish. They seem to love it there now. It's kind of a shaded spot so the blooms tend to last longer.

They are called Sarah Bernhardt. I finally sprayed the apple tree and it's starting to blossom. It's going to be a high of 4degree's celisus tomorrow.
