Yes I heard it was planned for Friday night but they needed to come in low so they had to wait for the right weather conditions. I also got an email notice that said everyone should be careful in large crowds and first thing I thought about was the Kentucky Derby this weekend, on the retaliation thing.

JMO here . . but WHY is everyone is excited he's dead?  Yes I understand what he and his thugs did on 9/11 but has anyone thought of what will happen next?   First we killed there beloved leader and then we just dumped his body . . yes, I know it's their beliefs but don't you think his people would want that honor?

Retaliation . . isn't going to happen now . . the media and the government have broadcast we have upped our forces at subways, NYC, airports, etc.  and they are safesguarding us.  And those people that are safeguarding us, can do what with chemicals whether by land, sea or air ?  the water system? It won't be like the last one because they know we are onto them and it won't be now it'll be in years when we least expect it . . and our fearless leaders will place us on the reactive side of the event rather than proactive.

I'm thankful Bush and Gates had this all planned out and it went very well . . 4 years is a long time to take out of anyone's life for such as event!   Thank you to all the men and women who have fought the fight and won the battle . . thank you to the Navy Seals but now the real work is going to have to start with us the American People! United

I understand what you are saying Kim.  But what should we have done?  Let him go?  Or capture him alive & bring him here.  That would have the same results that you are concerned about.  As far as giving his body back to his people to take care of.  Just how would we go about doing that?  Meet a terrorist group & hand it over? (Remember they have to be buried within 24 hr, according to their customs.)  I guess we could have left it laying where it fell but then there would be no proof of his death at all.  As it is some people are saying they don't believe it.

He was buried at sea because they didn't want "his people" to bury him and make a shrine (or whatever you call it)  to him.

The killing is done and a moot at this time ..  but the chanting and celebrating is wrong by all Americans; actually rather childish.   Hear the news and just let it be . . why does the American public have double standards?   We didn't like it when they celebrated our 9/11 and then we do it when we kill their leader?

We didn't follow their burial customs either . .  we just dumped.  I thought Americans had respect even if the aggressor  doesn't . . somewhere we have lost our values, morals and then we wonder why other countries don't respect us and want to hurt us?

Instead we should be praising, thanking and focusing on the Navy Seals for their courage . . imagine what the outcome would have been if the mission would have failed.  More American lives lost . . I for one am very thankful for their efforts.

Kim we are all entitled to our opinions but I totally disagree with you on this.  I guess this forum is really not the place to discuss it anyway.  We'll just agree to disagree & let it go.    Back to flowers.OK?
