the vet told me today that carrots are good for your dog'd teeth and yogurt is good for their system. so taffie, maggie and major are getting lots of carrots and yogurt. taffie may not want the yogurt but the other two will eat it. right now i use a 5 lb bag of carrots a week. i get the 5 lb bag of baby carrots at costco. sure glad that have such a good price on them.
the 4 of us are going to have a 21 lb turkey with all the trimmings on thanksgiving. i got such a big turkey so that i can take the dark meant and bog it up for them and give it to them over the nexst few months.( i do freeze it) i figure that at .39 a lb and i am cooking a tirukey anyway, i might as well cook a bit bigger one and have extra doggie goodies to put in their food.
My dog won't eat carrots unless they're cooked. She'll eat anything else though.
I mix some canned mixed vegetables in my dog's dog food.
Joann...... Go find your brain and use it!
What a good doggie mommie you are. Jax likes raw carrots, Tinkers turns her little nose up. I've never heard of giving a dog yogurt. Hmmm, might have to try that. Would that be plain or the kind with fruit? Both of my dogs like bananas.

My dog loves raw carrots and they are good for him. Every time I open the fridge he thinks I am after carrots! He gets surprised....., but I do give him one or two whenever I think of it. Just toss them in his dish or give them to him directly. I use the small ones I buy in bag, sometimes I cut them in two.
Let every day be a good day!
