Homemade fudge.....makes a good Christmas gift!!! And who doesn't love it??

Yes, I know about the Devon Horse Show, but have only read about it.  The kind of horses I have show there too.........Saddlebreds.  I tried to find a pic to post here of a Saddlebred at Devon, but I don't know if I am allowed to do that.

Pat, I think it would probably be ok.  I think if you include the website it's from.  I won't tell and I know the ones to tell there! lol!  Also, I didn't know that your horses were show horses!!!

Here's the worlds easiest fudge (which really isn't the same consistency as fudge, but is still really good, I call it cheater fudge).

1 bag choc chips (use semi sweet, milk choc, white choc, or even the mixed kind)

1 can sweetened condensed milk (you can use fat free)

1 tsp vanilla

Line a 9x9 pan with wax paper, extending to sides.  Add condensed milk to choc chips in a microwave safe bowl.  Micro on high stirring every 30 sec until melted and combined.  Stir in vanilla.  Pour evenly in pan and allow to set (you can refridge it).  Remove from wax paper and cut into squares.

Sooty,

here is the recipe for white trash...I have no idea why anyone named it that.

2 cups golden graham cereal

1 cup salted dry roasted nuts

1 cup pecans

1 cup small round pretzels

1 1/2 pkgs of melted white almond bark

Melt chocolate and add other ingredients

Spread on  a cookie sheet.

This is not one of my favorites but it is okay.

I made a tasty easy fudge at my clients last week.  Found it in a taste of home book.

It was 1 pk chocolate chips and 1 container of prepared frosting.   You were supposed to microwave the frosting and chips but I microwaved only the chips 2 1/2 min.  Then i stirred in the chocolate frosting added nuts and put in the pan.  Refrigerated 1/2 hr and cut.  It is surprisingly really,  really good.  I used a rich chocolate frosting with little chocolate chips in it.   The recipe also wanted you to stir in miniature marshmallows but I chose not to use them.

People Chow

14 oz box of Crispix cereal, 12 oz package of chocolate chips, 1 cup creamy peanut butter,  1/2 cup butter or margarine, 2 1/2 cup of powdered sugar.

Put cereal in a large bowl,  Put powdered sugar in a clean large brown grocery bag.   Melt chips, peanutbutter,  and butter. Pour over cereal and mix well.  Add cereal mixture to brown bag.  Shake till coated.  Spread on waxed paper to dry,  Store in airtight container.

My neice makes this for bake sales and puts it in small baggies. It sells really well.

Also made last wk for my lady's Thanksgiving party she's having.

Haystacks or Spiders

Just microwave a package of butterscotch chips for 2 1/2 min.  Stir in a pk of chowmein noodles.   Drop unto waxed paper to harden.  Hardens faster in fridge.  Can be frozen to store.

Just found this recipe again today in a book and it added a cup of salted peanuts.

My favorites are the peanut clusters, the drop candy with the peanutbutter, marshmallows nuts - that I posted earlier...it  tastes much better than it sounds. I also love to take two ritz crackers...spread peanutbutter between them (like an oreo) and then dip them in melted almond bark...either dark or white. I alos have a wonderful toffee that you cook amd pour into a pan to cool and then spread with cocolate. Yum.

Donna I thank you for all the recipes I put on twenty pounds just thinking about it and I'm 270 lbs. now but willing to increase for the holidays
