I wondered if you can get just the new ones without the rest of computer.  Does anyone know?  We have a computer store here that is local and others that just do computer repairs.  I am curious, I guess.  Letters are all coming off my keyboard and it is only a year old.  I liked the gray HP keyboard better before I got this one.  This is emachines; think it is made cheaply.......

Sure you can. You can get what you want online at HP site or go to a Best Buy or Wal Mart and get one. Lot's of choices out there!

Yes you can buy a keyboard.  I know Radio Shack sells them.  That's where I bought mine, but I'm sure any place that sells computers will also sell the keyboard.

The letters  are almost rubbed off on my keyboard here is what its left: q,  1/2 of the w,  y u; p z,x, ',1/2 of b,".<,>, /{,},|.   Its a good thing that I touch type unless I get my fingers on the wrong home row. if  I  do then I have a bunch of gobblydegook that might end up looking like thiis drr ehsy i  mrsn.  {see what I mean)

We sell a lot of keyboards, and like others said, anywhere from $15 to $150 depending what functions you want.

I don't mind a cheaper keyboard- say mid-range $40 because then when the numbers rub off it's probably so full of cookie crumbs that I jsut want to throw it away AHAHA

Best bet though is to buy a USB keyboard (the one with the little flat end) as they generally work better and are compatible, plus you can plug them in the front of your machine OR the back, where the others with the little rounded end can only plug in the back.

you can buy whatever you want for your computer, not just the keyboard, you don't ahve to buy a whole new machine, you can add new parts right along.  Not all folks go that route tho, even the speakers, etc., monitor, you dont need to get the whole thing new everytime.

Excellent idea. I also bought keyboards for $1-$2 at computer surplus stores, (where they sell recycled or used computers). Most bigger cities have them.

Yes you can replace th keyboard and the keys.  My DD's kids kept pullin off the keys and all she asked was for the keys to be replaced.  Dell just sent her a new board and everything is ok.

Yes, you can even get the keyboards replaced on laptops.  That surprised me as I have a second  older laptop that is still good and  I wanted to use it but several keys were worn out, wouldn't work. I'm going to have it repaired, pretty cool.
