Troy always has a quilt show on the fourth of July.  My wife was in charge of it this year.  I think this is her quilt.

Dan... Nice looking quilt. I expect it won't be long till that quilt will be feeling pretty good.

Heres another picture from the green way as we start up into the wooded area.

Thanks again Wilderness...me not computer guru...lol.

This is my Downy Woodpecker who visits my feeder often for a homemade snack of peanut butter suet....filled with rolled oats, cornmeal and lots of other goodies.  The green in the background is a white pine in our back yard.  Now that the trees have let go of some of their leaves, you can see my neighbors cabin bedroom window.  In summer you can't see it at all.  The cabin is never used, for it was a seasonal place for the older couple, and now it is for sale....many people building around here.....

Badhair (Wilma), I think Laurel Lake is probably the cleaniest, clearest and bluest (is that a word) lake I've ever been too.  In the sunshine it twinkles!  Anyone out of state, if you come from TN headed north into Kentucky or are headed south in KY on I-75, take a pit stop at Laurel Lake (what exit is that anyway?).  It really is beautiful.

P.S. on that thought, The Festival of the Lights is going on at the Kentucky Horse Park too!  LOL

Marg, I absolutely love the calf in the dog house.  I mean I LOVE that photograph (you know with me and my softheartedness for cows and all.

I think I'm actually being gave the laptop I'm typing on, I'm so excited I can't wind down enough to even attempt to go to bed to to sleep. BF said he's buying a new one and is going to give me this one.  An HP and I just love it.  Now to shop for the best Internet service. LOL  Hopefully next I'll get a camera and can post instead of just gazing and admiring you pics.  I'll quit rambling, I think I'm giddy (this is the first computer I'll ever had for home use in my 48 years on this earth...shew, I got many thanks to give this Thanksgiving.)

P.S. DanGarber, your wife and Kimmer could become very good friends.  Check out Kimmer's avatar next time she posts (probably next Tuesday) but you could go back (gardening I know) and find a post.

Hey Deloris, if you go to the lake,,,, it is exit 38... if you are headed south, turn right off the ramp, headed north turn left... it is probably about 20 miles out..

So glad you have a puter at home....hoping for the camera so you can post those too...Big Smile

Thanks for the clematis picture.  The last blooms are as precious as the first.

Dan,  "you think" that's your wife quilt?  If I sat and worked on those pieces as long as she did and you didn't "know" you'd be in deep.

Dh and I have this little fun thing when one of us says something wrong.  We go "gong" like the old gong show and say now "start over".

Gary, love your front yard pic, Carol, I like the milkweed pic, Steve, real nice pic of the greenway w/ the leaves down, Dan, love the pic of dw's quilt.  I do some quilting myself and of course, live in the heart of quilt country, Julie love your downy pic, Naturelover,  great pic of Nov clementis!  I still have flowers blooming! lol!

I haven't gotten my pic ready yet for today.  You all snuck in there on me last night.  I turned off my puter from b&b kind of early last night but was still doing other stuff on the puter for a while til my bed was calling me!!

Hey naturelover....love the clematis shot.....one final bloom before the really bad weather.  Badhair, your cactus is a "Thanksgiving" Cactus, for I was told that when you get a plant that is pink that is what it is called.  The well known "Christmas" Cactus blooms are "red".  That is the one I would like to get, and may have to, for this plant is getting way to big for me to handle...lol.  My Cactus blooms about two times a year....now and in February, but probably would bloom more if I would take care of it better.  I replanted it this fall in better potting soil, but I know this plant loves a bit of sandy soil, and grows well in garden soil.  I am now trying to get my Poinsetta from last year to bloom, but I haven't been consistant with putting the plant in total darkness for 12 hours a night, so we will see what happens.  Your Thanksgiving Cactus looks healthy and beautiful.

You can see it is a bit foggy out this morning.....and it was also very slippery on the deck, for ice had formed on it.  The temperature just right for that....34 degrees here right now.  Good morning to everyone else....good picture Gary!

Jaguae, great looking pear tree.  Does it give you a lot of fruit?  Wilma, beautiful Christmas cactus.  My younger ds still has our "family" Christmas cactus that my Mom had when we grew up  Gary, nice pic of the butterfly

Here is my pic for the day.  I took this pic from the end of my drive.  The road comes to a dead end here.  There is a stop sign to the right that you can't see right now cause of the horse & buggy.  I took this a couple of days ago w/ the Dancam.  I'm not always happy w/ the way PB downloads and uploads my pics cause they are prettier in my arc soft software before you download them into PB.  Looking for another photo image housing website.
Also there is an interesting story about that road sign w/ the double ended arrow.  It was never there before til about 2 yrs ago when one night we heard this big boom and crashing noise.  A car had flown thru the stop sign here and right thru the guard rail there and over the embankment there!  This whole corner was up @ 2am in the morn and police action, fire trucks and ambulance!  2 teenagers were driving too fast and texting while driving!!  They were locals and knew the road and that there's a stop here.  I think they were drinking some too.  Guess the daddy took the Tbird away!! lol!

Julie... Nice picture of the downy and the feeder. Looks like you have a nice feeder. Sounds like you make your own suet. I have the last couple times also but the jury is still out on whether or not the birds like it better than the store bought.

Naturelover... Good picture of the clematis. Its nice to have blooms this late. I think we all have had a warmer than usual November but from what I'm seeing on TV lately next weekend that may start to change. waaaaa

Jaguae... Thats a big pretty bradford pear tree. I think they are especially pretty in the spring after a long cold brown winter.

Wilma... What a big pretty cactus. Love that color also. My Mom had one in her basement and a while after she had passed I walked down there and saw it had mostly died. It did have a small piece or two still alive so I got them and put them in a pot and brought them home with me. Sure hope one day they will be big and pretty like that also. Not sure but I am thinking they are red.

Gary... What a pretty butterfly. Don't know what kind it is but I really like it. Is that lantana still going ?

Julie... I like your cactus also. I don't know whether these are Thanksgiving or Christmas  or Easter or whatever lol but I do know they sure are pretty and hope mine will one day be half as pretty as yours and Naturelovers.

Marg... Good picture of the horse and buggie. Also interesting story about the sign. After hitting the guard rail I wonder how much T-bird there was left for Daddy to take away lol.
