We seen this Bird at Beauvis Lake in SW Alberta, Canada, (north of Waterton NP).
Can anyone help me to identify it? Thank you
Hi there,
Hard to tell with the shadows, but my first guess is a Pine Siskin. Was there any yellow on it?

"Birds are born to have wings; wings are symbols of freedom."
I'll go with the Pine Siskin the beak is way too pointy for a House Finch.
I thought there was a bit of yellow on the rump when I looked at the enlarged pic. Hard to tell though.
I think it's a pine siskin also.
Photo man, smile!
I agree whit that, but I don't remember any yellow and I thought the bird was to dark.
i think i heard a screach owl about 5 am
