Wonderful sights today, everyone!  The reflection of the red building so so serene, GiddeyLovefinch--the Cedar Wax Wings look chilly, all snuggled down to keep warm!  Great Picture!  Naturelover--The Mallard duck sure takes a beautiful picture!  Really neat that you raised them! How did you get the eggs to get started?  Petalpusher--Fabulous picture of the brilliant orange leaf in the Colombia blue sky!  Pretty!!!!  Jaguae--Knockout colors of your Knockout Rose!!!  Wow!  Topaz--Is your fishing spot good for catching trout??  (in addition to fabulous pictures?)  Sparrow--You have interesting shots.  They are a change from the traditional, huh?  You're doing well with your 'assignment'.  Keep it up!  Badhair--You company is rather rude.....getting mud everywhere.  LOL  We have open range cattle up here on our mt....sometimes we see them in the most interesting spots and wonder how they got there!!

Hello Naturelover, pretty duck ,have some in the pond here, question?  people across the pond left 8 white pekin ducks when they moved out last week, will they survive their first winter out side? my daughter suggested calling our local zoo ,my neighbours and  I feed them scraps when we have them and  they act as if they are starving! Jag, beautiful rose!    Topaz, that point would make a perfect camp site!  Badhair, the ole swimming hole!   Jw2, the bear sleeping or eating?   31140-Mary, I asume that those pekin ducks was already living outside on the pond?  I guess those people that moved out probably fed the ducks too?   I would think that they would be okay, since they can fly anywhere they like.....but if you want, you can buy duck food at any TSC or farm store.  I would also call your local zoo or wildlife society too.    Sorry I couldn't be more help!  SPARROW,  I had two pairs of ducks, living on my pond, and both females would make nests here and there....with at least 8-10 eggs.    And everytime.....raccoons would raid the nests, eating their fill of eggs and keep returning until no eggs was left.  Ofcourse, the ducks would abandon the nest,.......and start new nests, just to have it happen again & again.   I felt soooo sorry for those poor females, so right after the raccoons raided the nests... again!!......... I gathered a couple eggs out of each raided nest, and started them in an incubator.   It was a great experience!    And they were so darn cute!       I'll have to find those pics of them when they were tiny,  and post them.  :)

Hello to all!

That's a lovely red shed reflection, Giddey!  Wow!

Hi, Gramemery!

Lovefinch, don't you just love cedar waxwings?  Beautiful birds, pretty picture.

Handsome mallard indeed, Naturelover!  It looks like he has polkadots on his head.

Hi, Sparrow!  Wow, I like your perspective in all 3 shots!  Unusual and so pretty.

Gorgeous, sweet Petals!  Get the old rake out!

Jaguae, your rose sure has an appropriate name!  It's a knockout, for sure.

No way could I fish there, Topaz...I'd be too busy snapping pictures with my little EasyShare!  What a beautiful place.

Your neighbors look like some in these parts, Wilma, but it wouldn't be 70º!

Hi, JW2!  Handsome black bear.  Did I tell you we had friends who lived in the mountains in St. Maries, Idaho, a few years back?  Is that anywhere near you?  Our friends have since moved though...to Drummond Island in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan.

Sweetpotatopie, I betcha' Giddey will answer your question.  If I try I'm afraid I'll leave something out!

Hubby & I think this is a Michigan cellar.  There once was a house in the same area but it burned down.  Now this building stands all by its lonesome.

Hi sweetpotatopie and welcome to the Backyard ...

U can't post directly from U'r hard drive.

U will need to open a free account at photobucket.com and upload U'r pictures there, following the prompts ...

Now, U just have to run U'r mouse over the picture U have stored in Photo Bucket, a drop down will appear ...

Copy the second line down, "Direct Link," and paste it in the drop down U get in the Reply box when U click on the film strip icon, (Link to media). Put 400 in "Max Width" box, a good size for here ... click "insert"

Thanks for the armchair tour!  I enjoyed it all the red buildings, ducks, bear, cows, scenery, fishing spot, the old Mich. cellar; love the stonework on the front, the knockout rose is vibrant, the maple leaf beautiful, and all the rest of the photos.  You all do a great job letting me see all the different things each day!

Let every day be a good day!
