Good morning! Sophie is backin, Chico is enjoying the morning air. It is 39 out there, reaching to 68 today. Tonights overnight is to be decidedly colder, so will have to get the woodstove going again. Hoping for a relaxing day today.
GiddeyUp,how thrilling for your grandson! Did you get a picture of it?
Sharon, a slow start here this morning. Yesterday I had to run to town to get prescriptions I forgot to pick up on Friday.
Tommeytoe, I spent some time reading a book I couldn't put down. Finished it---the other one I'm reading I can get away from to do other things.
Doris, Ihope you enjoyed the supper with the hunters. Sorry about the snag with the bathroom. I'm glad the contractors are willing to do the painting for you too.
Posynut, you hear such conflicting predictions about severity of the coming winter. We'll just have to see who is right.
Terry, the "stems" are the male part of the cereus plant. If they are cut back or off it won't blossom that year. My sister in law did that one year with hers.
As usual, good eats on your weekend.
EVERYONE, have a pleasant Sunday. I know John will have NASCAR on, and probably take a little snooze while the race is progressing.
Good morning Marcie and all to follow. Here it is sunny and headed to upper 50's. Sun keeps everyone happier. Reading Sunday papers and loafing right now. Shopped at Dollar Store Saturday and saved a lot with coupons, and store discounts being offered. Needed lots of cleaning stuff and bathroom stuff. Today will scan the grocery ads as I have a list that is ongoing all the time for groceries. I need to start grocery shopping more often to make the load lighter to carry; they don't pack them as light as they should in the store even with a reminder. Especially when I need a lot of canned goods or they have a good sale on them. Was going every 2-3 wks., but makes too much of a load then. Sometimes I give a list to my DH and he picks up certain sale items for me. It's a job I am not fond of doing as often as I should.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable Sunday.
Let every day be a good day!
Hi Marcie,
I'll try to make some cuttings on our cereus, the stem got kinked when I brought the tall plant in and that's where it sent out some roots, I'll also do some leaf rootings.
We started at 42º and it's sunny and 56º now. We watched two doe feeding across the creek this morning, they left after ten minutes and walked up the loop driving trail.
We went for a walk and fed the creek fish at 3:30PM yesterday, Joyce liked the new area that I cleared. I'll fire the grill up later and cook some ribs.
Terry
Good afternoon Marcie!
Just getting ready for my afternoon coffee. It's a beautiful day here. must be close to 70º. Sunny and just great weather. Clearly, and Indian summer day here in Ohio.
Been pretty busy today for a Sunday. No laundry for today though. LOL Getting a break from that. Trying to get some of the bigger things cleaned up from our remodeling job. Then can get on to the small jobs before the holidays. No relaxing for me today, but hope you're having a relaxing day.
Good evening. It's been a long day. We went to church then to lunch with our friends from our church we eat out with a lot on Sundays. Aftre that we drove 150 miles round trip to exchange the bathtub. Then drove another 65 miles round trip to take DS home and to get home. We spent lots of time sitting on our behinds! lol The weather was great so the drive was good.
Lots of hunters checking in deer at the truck stop in DS's town. The game wardens had taken 3 of 4 deer from one group of men and had hauled two of the men off to jail just before we got there. We haven't found out why though. Hopefully, it will be in the paper one day soon.
I hope everyone had a restful and very enjoyable day.
Doris
