I usually fix beef and ham, but I may do beef and turkey boob this year.  I love ham, but sometimes it is so salty.

The last 2 years my DIL has given me a large spiral sliced ham to cook and it is delicious and not salty at all.  It is a gift to her at her place of employment.  Guess it depends if she gives me the same ham once again exactly what I have.  I guess the salt content is high is most all meat when you think about it.  But......we have to eat, I keep telling myself! LOL

Just curious as to what everyone else fixes for meat for that holiday.

Let every day be a good day!

Re salty ham, you can boil it to get the salt out, and then do whatever with it in the oven, just cut cooking time.  Makes a big difference in getting rid of the salt.

My big Christmas meal is on Xmas Eve. My whole family and my brothers family and anyone else is invited, I do a buffet style but the main meat is a Whole John Martin Ham usually around 16-18 lbs.  Then deli sliced turkey and roast beef and assorted cheeses and salads , desserts  breads and rolls , The table is loaded. I love it .  Grannamumzee

We do a prime rib roast every year. My parents used to get one as a gift from the grocer who owned the store in my little hometown. It as a shock when we started having to buy our own, lol, but worth it.

I hope not to be cooking anything, truthfully.  If we go to S/O's family for Christmas Eve supper they have the traditional Ukrainian 12 course meatless dishes. (Gotta love that!)

If it's just us here by ourselves we probably won't bother.  I wish it wasn't so weathery in winter. It makes planning a trip somewhere rather difficult, as I would like to go home but I don't want to plan on the weather co-operating at all.

My kids prefer ham over turkey, so usually we do both.

We usually have turkey and ham and all the trimmings at Thanksgiving and for Christmas they all enjoy a big assortment of Mexican food, so I make enchiladas with meat and some with cheese and jalapenos, nacho dip, different salsas, refried beans, rice and tostados and tacos.  Its a little different than some at Christmas but its also part of my husbands heritage that is fun to share this time of the year. (You wouldn't believe how many people like to drop in on us Christmas day just for a "bite" LOL!)

Oh, but I still make the traditional cheese ball for snacking while they watch football or we play board games.:)

I make a ham, a turkey with all the trimmings and a pan of lasagna too, with other stuff.

Well nothing at all. Will be in sunny Florida and my son has his menu all planed. Have no idea what it is, but I know it will be delicious, because he is a excellent cook.

Duck, if I can find one that doesn't cost an arm (wing) and a leg!!  Goose is the traditional English Christmas Dinner, but they are way too big for one person and they DO cost an arm and a leg - $40.00 to $50.00 each.

Normally I roast a turkey an have a ham for those that don't like turkey.  Sorry Elaine, this is the ONLY TIME I DON'T COOK BEEF - I LOVE BEEF!!

This year I won't have to cook because my D-I-L and my son have invited us to their home on Christmas Day for a turkey dinner.  I'm assuming that her family will be there also.   I am providing a 20 lb. turkey that I was going to cook, but since she is cooking, she can have the turkey.  Christmas dinner is on the 25th December and we are leaving for Florida for 3 months on the 28th of December.  What a life!!!
