ILUV'S were you watching Monk last night?
Normal walk here also--it would have taken forever to get down the church aisle if we'd done the step on Monk last night!! Don't think my dad would have agreed to that either!!
Don't think my DH would even agree to that 'step' either--when he 'did' his 2 younger sisters or his own 3 daughters!!
I walked down the aisle with my dad, we just walked slower that a normal farmer walks. LOL I was just so happy to have his arm to walk on. We got married Nov. 29 and in Aug. that year my dad had a heart attack. He said he wouldn't be able to walk me down the aisle. He had a stroke and heart attack mixed up and thought he wasn't going to be able to walk. I told him, "No dad, you had a heart attack not a stroke and you can walk just fine. If you don't walk me down the aisle, I'll be walking down alone, cause nobody is taking your place." It was 13 yrs. last Sunday that he passed away.
My dad passed away the year I met my DH. So I had one of the men from my church walk me down the aisle. He asked me if I wanted one of my uncles do it instead----Uh no, and have them upset with me by chosing one over the other. I did do the normal walk, but slighty slow paced. Just celabrated #24 last month.

My Dad walked me down the aisle we just walked the normal walk
My Mom had to go back to the house and get her camera so our wedding was a little late My brother is a professional photographer he took our wedding pictures. My Mom still had to go get her camera. So by that time I wasn't nervous when me and my Dad walked down the aisle. LOL !!! That was 28 yrs ago

Normal, sort of. Somehow I did not realize until the last moment that my dress was too long, so I sort of tip-toed the whole way.
Normal but I should of walked the other way~~~~~Na I had some happy years for awhile anyway.

I had not thought of this since but my first wedding we did the step-wait-step walking, it was a big church affair and fairly formal.
Pretty funny actually as all the male attendants had been smoking grass in the bathroom and were in various stages of being stoned, my DH had not as he knew I would have killed him, but those loaded guys escorting my attendants down that long aisle were a sight indeed. They were meandering and giggling and my bridesmaids were serious and very elegant in long gowns......it was something memories are made of. My Mom was furious but I was nervous and found some humor in it all.
This marriage, to my second DH, was here at home on our patio. I walked outside with DH and we got married. I was so in love, it was a moment I still treasure. And it was so relaxed, really lovely.
