Coffee  Good morning!  We are starting the day out at 28, glad to have the woodfire burning.  We talked with our son in Virginia Beach last night.  He has a huge limb down in his back yard and was getting power outages.  They are OK, but said there was a lot of flooding in the streets that were a little lower towards sea level.

Linda, Have a wonderful time camping, enjoy November at its best!

Sherry, I hope Pete learns much from his seminar.

Posynut, yes, we went to Arnot Mall and the Olive Garden near there--great meal.  I enjoy Market Street too and try to get there once a year.  Some friends want to go to Corning Glass, so we may get to do Market Street soon with them.

Doris, we watched the first half of the CMA awards, then I got sleepy, so didn't see the end.

Terry, I'm glad your critters are getting their goodies.  Garlic in a bucket might be a good idea.

LuvsDaisys, it was a fun day yesterday, want to do more shopping this weekend.

EVERYONE, have a great Friday.  It looks like we might have company, won't know for sure till a little later this morning.

Good morning Marcie and everyone,

There's nothing better than a nice wood heat. I love to sit next to the stove and warm my aching bones, lol !

Today the Olympic flame is being run through our city, so I hope to get out and see that. I got my H1N1 inoculation yesterday so hopefully I won't be getting that flu .

Hope everyone enjoys their Friday the 13th !

Good Morning Marcie!

It's a beautiful, sunny, 40º morning here. I getting ready to make a list of what I need to do today. Checking it twice! LOL

Glad you had a fun day yesterday, and have a great weekend shopping. Sounds like fun!    Glad your family is safe, people have been lucky this year as far as hurricanes go...hoping this may be the only one. I'd love to witness a hurricane...from afar though.  I was in a tropical storm a few years ago staying in an oceanfront home. The house swayed with the winds, I had a glass of water setting on a stand and the water in the glass was swaying back and forth. I can't imagine the force of a hurricane. Another year we stayed in a home that the week before the island had winds of 120 mph...they said they had cleaned up a lot..but you could still see the sand piled in places. The screens on the windows had been shredded.

Well, now I'm babbling.....you have a good day, and a super weekend!

Greetings Marcie.  Here it is bright sunshine so opened my drapes wide to let it come in the livingroom.  Watched the birds in the feeders front and back of the house, both.  Had mourning doves on ground, bluejays, cardinal, nuthatches, finches, chickadees busy this morning.  I notice the mourning doves just sit in the sun for the warmth, even on the edge of the birdbath.  I am sure that is partially frozen; only 20 or so this morning here.

I have a load of wash done to go into the dryer; myself dressed and bed made.  I refilled a couple of birdfeeders yesterday.  The bluejays are piggy about the food, so they use the tray feeder the most.  Was watching the weather this morning on the weather channel; sure bad in Virginia in some places, high water, winds, sand blowing.  Power outages.  I will take the weather here even the cold.  At least right now we are dry, sunny and calm.  Heavy frost this morning and foggy early, too.

Let every day be a good day!

Hi Marcie,

We started at 41º and it's a  sunny 55º now. I went for a two mile walk and put out  some more  corn for the critters. The people along the Atlantic coast have it bad  compared to  what we had here, Ida went in just 45 miles west of us and then  came east over us 15 miles north.

Hot morning  coffee was  sure  good before and  after my walk, I might make  some hot chocolate and sit on the deck crosswalk.

I'll try to move some garlic when I try to make a cutting from our nightblooming cereus plant this weekend.

Terry
