I hosted tonight. I made two chicken pot pies, made with butter, flour, half and half, chicken broth, onions, celery, peas, carrots and potatoes They were sinfullly good, if I do say so myself There was none left over. I also served a big green salad with it, which was also devoured. I made a pumpkin dessert, made with Libby's pumpkin pie mix and yellow cake mix. None of that was left, either. For an appetizer, I made a 7 layer Greek dip, served with pita chips. There was none of that left, either, and I had many requests for the recipe. I made two pitchers of cosmos, and had a cooler filled with Coronas, water and diet pepsi, all gone. When everyone left, they complimented me on the delicious dinner. It does feel nice to have a successful party. As an added bonus, Hubby came out of hiding and helped me clean up after everyone left. He did all of the dishes.
That's so great! When you go through a lot of trouble and planning,, but it's so well enjoyed and received, it doesn't seem like it was much work after all!
