The seeds arrived in good shape.  I was so excited I had to look up some of the seeds to see what they were.  I went through all of them, got some and added some.  Packed everything up nice and neat and went to the PO just to find out that they were closed.  You would think that being married to a veteran, hearing talk of veterans day on the radio would have given me a hint that the PO was closed.  Some days I think my brain takes a vacation without my body, lol.  I put the train on the track to Sherrilyn today.

Janis there has been rain everywhere and I know it had to have gotten pretty wet in its travel. I sent mine out really double with brown paper so that it would not get wet hopefully everyone I chatted with said it was fine.Janis please let me know if there is anything I can do to help in any way. I would be so delighted to do so. Thanks again for everything you do. I appreciae you and you are one of a kind.

Thanks for the update guys and the chuckles. I wondered where our train was.

Melkins I'm a military wife also and DH was home when I went to check the mail on Veterans day.

It sure is exciting to get the train.

Guess we should do another when we get more seeds huh?

I have all my family and friends searching their plants for seeds.  The only problem is sometimes I am not sure what the plant is the seeds have come from.  LOL  I am a paramedic and have found that some of the elderly patients I transport who have a lot of plants love it when you start talking to them about their plants and usually send me on my way with seeds, cuttings or small plants.  I have obtained a jade plant and and hens and chicks that way, both have grown like crazy and I had never been able to grow them before.

ALice I'm so glad that you had a nice journey with the train and that it's taking you on many more journeys with your patients.

In a way you are taking them on a journey away from their illnesses by taking them for a walk with their plants and happy memories.

I think this is my bonus for starting the train...to put a smile where it needs to be. It's very hard when you aren't up to par to keep your own computer working effeciently and a smile is like a defragging if you know what I mean?

So thank you so much for telling me this story. And all your new plants. It also will form a bond with them because they will want all the updates from your new family. LOL

You might have to take pictures, LOL

Have a nice Thanksgiving.

And get some lunch bags to dry your seeds or you will need a shovel.

Seed train C has arrived at Handley Station in WV and will go in the shop for maintenance.

I hope everyone enjoyed the ride and will have fun with the seeds.

Handley train will be put in the garage for maintenance.

Thanks to all the conductors for making this journey possible. We would never have left the station without you.

Update to follow after maintenance.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Were the seed in tack at least I tried to package it so they wouldn't fall out.  Hopefully it didn't get wet.  Thanks for letting me join the train.

Seeds were intact and dry. I liked your way os sealing them with the clip.

Thanks for coming aboard.

I found some double sided tape to try and see how that works. We cleaned the garage yesterday as we got shelves from Lowes. Now all I need is a recepticle for my grow light and maybe I'll have some fascimile of a greenhouse.

I am glad it arrived in good shape.  I am going to try winter sowing this year with part of my seeds.  I have been sharing this site with some of my friends and relative and they are as excited as I am.  I hope to have a lot of seeds to trade with again next year.
