hello there Wilma, i had a uncle in ww2 he is gone tho my Xbil he is a vet my brother is kwuait right now he is a assistant chaplin but he says first and for most I am a soldier, and yup he is a soldier for God. Bless u for setting up this post. and god bless our troops LIL

My dad served in WWII and for many years after. He retired (Air Force) in 1963. He went to work for Civil Service here at Holloman AFB, and DH was stationed here when I met him. He retired 23 years ago, after serving for 21 years.
I'm sorry cancer took your dad so young.
My Dad was in England for 6 years during WW2 in the RCAF. He is now in a nursing home and Veteran's Affairds look after him very well.
Hello Wilma, My Dad was in army during early forties, went to France an saw gas chambers in Germany, went to heaven in 1991. our troops need our prayers every day! Mary in Ky 11.12.
my husband was in the Marines and drove a tank for year in Korea when he was only 18. My youngest son served 4 years in the Air Force spending a year in Turkey, , my grandson-in-law is in Air Force Special Forces and just got back from his second tour of duty in Iraq and my youngest grandson is attending West Point.. I am so proud of all who have served and will serve. God bless them all.
I failed to post my Dad was in France during WWll.
My Bill served 25 years in the Air force and continued to work for the service after he retired in 1985 as a commissionair, and has a veterans license plate which he is so proud of :)
My father and uncle was in World War II.....My oldest brother was in the air force for 4 yrs.....my youngest brother was in the army he served 2yrs and was in Viet Nam, My SIL's brother was a marine for 6 yrs he was in Nam and was awarded a Purple Heart, my nephew was in the army for 4 yrs and in the national guard for 3 yrs. He had to go to Saudi but his mission was before the war really started.
My DH was in the Navy and in the Korea War.
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS! My brother was making a career of the Air Force, when he passed away of a stroke at the age of 36 with 2 more years to go. That was 40 yrs. ago.
My DH is a veteran of WWII. He went in when he was only 15. I've seen pictures of him and it was obvious that he was too young. He was a paratrooper in the 511th Regiment of the 11th Airborne Division.
I had 2 uncles on my mom's side and 2 uncles on my dad's side in WWII. One of my brothers was in Viet Nam. I was stationed in the States my whole tour. DS#1 is inIraq on 2nd tour. DS#2 and DS#3 are both in the National Guard and have served tours overseas, Kuwait, Bosnia and Iraq.

My DH is a veteran in good health (except for back) and my BIL is a veteran and a victim of agent orange, but still with us, even though he has cancer.
My father and 3 of my uncles were in ww11, DH was in the Marines, my brother was in the AirForce. #1DS was 6 yrs in the Navy. DGS is in the Army in Germany, 1 nephew in the Air Force . 1 in the Army and 1 in the Army Reserves GMZ
