We burn candles especially Fall thru spring.  When it's dark, I like to have a candle lit just incase our power goes out.  (we use solar power instead of electricity at our cabin)  When the batteries goes down/dead, we can lose power without much notice, so it's nice to have a candle lit in the kitchen area so we don't stumble as we go thru to the generator outside.  Plus, it gives us a nice pleasant scent.

I’m with Mary Ann; I’m also one of those people who turn off everything before I leave the house.

I have lots of candles; I use to get invited to so many candle parties. They were also very expensive and after I retired just could not afford them, plus I could buy three candles at the store for every candle at the party.  I think a couple years ago everyone in the family thought I should have candles for Christmas and I am from a large family.

I'm mostly using the warmers right now. I do like the glow of candles on a snowy night or early morning. I don't like the way they smoke though. ;( They make little toppers that fit on the jars to cut back on the smoke....but have heard it dosen't work when you blow them out. Guess I could put the lid on real quick. I haven't found a candle that does not smoke...even if it's advertised it dosen't. I trim the wick and follow all directions....but they still smoke. Now truthfully I don't mind so much...but dh does since he has to do the painting now. LOL

But I do have the warmers...and the candles I have right now is Pumpkin, warm apple pie, some type of caramel and  a vanilla.

Don't have my Christmas candles out of the totes yet.

Was ticked off to find out that glade no longer offers pumpkie pie and glissening snow scents so far this year. ;( Usually buy two of each every year.

And what do you think I bought today at the Hallmark store???? Yep, a Yankee cinnamon candle!!  A small one, though.  They are up in price, too.....what isn't?

Let every day be a good day!

I love burning candles all year long... I love the warm glow the create and love the smells too. I take them out on our front porch for a warm setting as we live out in the country . Love listening to the night creatures... owls, coyotes, hound dogs, etc... Big Smile
