I cant sit on the boat seat anymore I cramp up badly plus I have trouble getting up so I made this seat which works great. The 83 year old brain is still working. Yes I still use oars. Bill
Thankyou for sharing a wonderful idea.
My father has had both hips replaced and they have not been what you would call successful operations.
He can sit on the pedestal seat for awhile in one boat, but what you have concocted looks way more comfortable for him
Genius Bill,
Great Idea.
Now, are the fish biting?
Ron
I'm glad you posted your boat seat. I have hip trouble now and need an arm chair to help me get up so really appreciate this plan.
How does it feel to sit up higher?
belle
Belle sorry I'm late with an answer I've been locked out of B&B for a week. It feels really good sitting high no more leg cramps and I can fish a lot better.Having the curved seat makes it secure and I cant slip off the edge. The boat is good and steady for me and I can stay out for hours now.
Bill
But you didn't answer Ron's question.....so are the fish biting????? Haven't had fresh fish for over a year. I hope to start again in the spring, I am a "Fair Weather" fisher person LOL.
Hello Bill,
Was scanning this chat forum and saw your picture of the boat and how you have had leg cramps.
I've had leg cramps during the night for quite some time (years). I was taking quinine, but they stopped making it. So I've tried numerous meds and other personable remedies. Was told by a friend that had been taking this 'Black Cherry juice concentrate' daily and it had helped him. I went to the local health food store and purchased some to give it a try. It has worked wonders and has eliminated the leg cramps that had previously woke me from a sound sleep at night. You mix 2 Tablespoons of concentrate with 5 oz. of water.
I've shared this with some and they have had great results as well.
Since I've started taking this on a daily basis. I have ordered more from off the computer and had it delivered to my home.
I have a sister-in-law that says she is able to sleep better at night as well as the relief of leg pain. We're both in our 70's.
Hope you may give it a try and see if you don't have some benefit from it as well.
plantfriend
Plantfriend thank you for the advice but I take Swepps tonic water which has Quinine.I just might try the blackcherry juice because of the tast of tonic water.
Thanks again
